Stone-look sculpture with weathered effect

For this project, the finish is the decisive element. The client wanted two gravestones with inscriptions that make their appearance on stage. Although, they would also look good at any Halloween party!

 

After they were carved into the right shape, the next step was achieve the stone surface and look. Here we have a lot of experience and like to fall back on a few tried and tested tricks. A challenge, on the other hand, was to create the engraved and very fine inscription. With a scalpel and a lot of dexterity, our sculptors finally conjured up the names on the fronts. Finally, we gave the gravestones some moss and patina, after all, they should look a few decades old.
